My Views on The More Broadscope Issues

                                         - Paul D. Serwatka

An avid student of the U.S. Constitution, Austrian School Economics, and Free Market Capitalism, I stand vigorously for the principles of Individual liberties - first and foremost - and the limited role that government was intended to play in our lives and our economy.

I emphatically support and defend all constitutionally protected rights including 2nd amendment rights. I am an Endowment member of the NRA as well as a concealed carry permit holder as is recognized by more than 30 states.

I adamantly defend the rights of the family as well as the rights of the unborn. I believe the family unit is the foremost essential component for a peaceful, prosperous and secure society and should never be replaced, or interfered with, by government.

I stand to: Empower parents with a choice in schools and education methods, to return control of education locally, and to do away with Common Core Standards.

I have recognized and understood the need for pension reform since my early days as a Firefighter/Paramedic. I understand the unsustainability of Defined Benefit Pensions and the dire need to transition to a system of Defined Contribution Pensions (i.e. 401(k), 403(b) or 457 plan). This has been a generally acknowledged issue for decades that has been intentionally evaded by Illinois politicians.

While I am not “anti-union”, I am absolutely anti-cronyism – and I understand fully, the systemic problem of patronage and bad policy that arises from IL state legislators pandering to the public union bosses that lobby and contribute substantially to political campaigns.

I do not see Firefighters and Police Officers as the problem… I do not see teachers and union workers as the problem… I adamantly believe the problem lies in the rampant corruption between the upper echelon public union bosses and the corrupt, career politicians in Springfield.

Our leaders in Springfield MUST be willing to do what is necessary to hold them accountable, and to hold steadfast in shedding light on these issues and paving way for the critical changes that have been intentionally neglected in decades past.

I believe any legislator or candidate that is truly sincere about bringing the much needed reform to Illinois MUST pledge the following:

- To limit him/herself to no more than 5 terms (10 years total).
(as we fought for in our last term limits initiative)

- To reject all state pensions and benefits and fight for legislation to end them.

- To make every decision and every vote based on the well-being of the working
   families and taxpayers of Illinois.

- To base all policy and votes on Constitutional compliance and Core family values.

- To expose and put an end to, the waste, abuse and corruption that is crushing families of  Illinois.

Simply put: IL state Legislators MUST serve with a focus on the next generation… Not the next election!

The True Leader We Need

OUR REPRESENTATIVES IN SPRINGFIELD HAVE FAILED US!

For decades, now, they’ve intentionally avoided to address these issues out of fear of political repercussions and because of their own self-serving interests.

Springfield has become a machine that has served to enrich and empower a handful of corrupt, career politicians at the expense of the hard working men and women of Illinois – and you can be sure they are going to continue to rob and enslave our children and grandchildren unless WE make them stop!

We simply cannot continue to send “politicians” to Springfield and expect things to change. We are in dire need of PRINCIPLED LEADERS!

We need leaders with the courage to stand and face the issues that are crippling families… We need leaders, with principles, who will know and do what is right… We need leaders who are willing to take a stand and fight against the corrupt, self-serving politicians who have driven MANY Illinois families to their knees.

Paul Serwatka has pledged to be exactly this kind of leader!

Paul also pledges the following:

- To limit himself to no more than 5 terms (10 years total)
(as we fought for in our last term limits initiative)

- To reject all state pensions and benefits and fight for legislation to end them.

- To make every decision and every vote based on the well-being of the working families of Illinois.

 - To base all policy and votes on Constitutional compliance and Core family values.

- To expose and put an end to, the waste, abuse and corruption that is crushing the families of Illinois.

Paul promises to serve with his focus on the next generation… not the next election…

He needs YOUR help, to Take Back Illinois!
